Neami is providing additional services in Mirboo North following February’s severe storm, in recognition of the significant impact of natural disasters on people’s mental health.

Anyone in the community can get free mental health support between 10am and 4pm on certain days in March (details below) at the Mirboo North Medical Centre.

You don’t need to make an appointment – you can just walk in to the centre at 65 Ridgway during opening hours and our empathetic team will be there to support you.

The Mirboo North Medical Centre will always be staffed by a mental health clinician and a peer support worker who has their own experiences of mental health challenges and recovery.

You can access a range of services at the centre, including:

  • Debriefing sessions: a safe space to express your thoughts and emotions in the storm’s aftermath.
  • Clinical therapies: therapeutic interventions catered to your individual needs.
  • Peer support: connection with people who have lived through similar challenges.

This walk-in service is available between 10am and 4pm on the following dates in 2024:

  • Monday 4 March
  • Friday 8 March
  • Wednesday 13 March
  • Friday 15 March
  • Monday 18 March
